Waking up and being able to work in your PJs may be the dream, but it doesn’t always make you feel like you’re running a serious operation. There is just one week until #VACon20 and today it's been announced that I am one of the Finalists for the ‘UK Best Newcomer VA 2020’ Award!

You can look at it any way you like, but being a business owner is hard – you’ve got to juggle doing the work (or at least learn how to manage other people fast), customer service, marketing, advertising, making sure you’re growing sustainably for the future, admin, panicking about whether you’re charging enough or too much… yeah, it’s a lot.

Running a small business is always a balancing act; you’ve got to liaise with current clients, do the work or make the products, market your products or services, and answer new customer queries as quickly as possible. If you have a full team all this is manageable, but if it's just you or you and a small team, you’ll find it difficult to pause and take a breath.

The start of a new year is the perfect time to set new goals, dream about what’s possible, and start working toward those goals, but regardless of when you read this article know that the best time to set new goals (and dream a little!) is now! With just a little dreaming, planning, and action, you can make those distant goals your reality.
